California Canoe & Kayak is very experienced in offering custom Corporate, Youth and Private Programs.
Whether you are looking for a relaxing break from the office, a fun way to work on team building, or just a great way to get outside and enjoy nature with friends and family we can provide you with an unforgettable experience at exceptional value!
We offer corporate businesses, private parties, schools and youth organisations the opportunity to learn new skills, explore and learn about the marine environment and develop leadership and cooperation skills.
We have a quality fleet of Stand Up Paddle boards (SUP), single and tandem kayaks and canoes. For guided tours we typically use tandem kayaks for their ease of use and for safety. Tandem kayaks are excellent for team-building exercises and are double the fun! Single use kayaks are available for experienced paddlers.
Our Instructors will provide a brief orientation to the equipment and strokes, then guide you on a tour of the area.
After paddling, visit one of the fine restaurants in the area.
We have several fixed locations to choose from:

We can also operate from Bair Island, Consumes Preserve, Richmond and Tomales Bay. Operating from these remote locations may attract additional charges.
Note: Morning tours are recommended because the wind is generally less in the morning in the Bay Area. Afternoon and evening (sunset) tours are also available. Winter-time paddling is often the best of all!
Reservation Rates: A half-day tour is $79 per person during the week and $99 per person on weekends. The minimum number is 6 for a private group tour.
For first time paddlers, we recommend tandem kayaks for ease of use, stability and sharing the fun! Tandem kayaks are excellent for team-building exercises, too, if that is your goal. Our enthusiastic staff will give a brief orientation to the equipment and strokes, then guide you on a tour of the area.
Ask about our Hobie Mirage kayaks and SUP’s too!
CCK provides all kayak equipment, including paddle jacket and US Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD), spray skirt, paddle and kayak.
Wetsuits are not normally required unless you are planning to do team building activities that may result in a swim! We will advise you accordingly.
You will need to bring some personal items: Many of these can be purchased from our on line store at calkayak.com
Please click here for printable version of items to bring.
Paddling is fun and rewarding! As with all outdoor activities it includes an element of risk. The risks, hazards, and potential consequences are outlined in a “Liability Release, Express Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement” which you will be required to read and sign before the beginning of the class or trip.
The entire text of this legal form may be viewed here: CCK Liability Release.
Your signature on this form is a declaration of your willingness to accept personal responsibility for any risks involved in your participation. Any person under the age of 18 and not accompanied by his/her parents or legal guardian needs to bring an original parent/guardian signed form to the class prior to participation. If you have any questions regarding potential risks please call our office @ 510-893-7833.
Group Bookings – Deposit, Final Headcount & Payment
To make a group reservation for a private tour or class we require a 50% deposit to make the reservation. This reserves the date and guarantees staff and resources are available. The deposit will be based on your initial estimate of numbers.
The balance is due 14 days prior to the event. A final headcount is required at this time and the balance will be adjusted accordingly. Adjustments upwards can be made after the final headcount has been given subject to the availability of staff and resources, but no refund will be given for an adjustment downwards because staff and resources will have been allocated to the event.
If the tour or class date is within 14 days of the date the reservation is made, payment in full will be required at the time the reservation is made.
14 Day Group Cancellation Policy:
Please call for details:
Full credit or refund will be made if California Canoe & Kayak is forced to cancel a tour or class for any reason. In such cases, our liability extends to the cost of the class or tour only, not travel and accommodations.
All CCK events are subject to last-minute cancellation due to weather and safety conditions.
